Key is a Mexican artist based in New York who has spent recent years living between Boston, Paris, and San Francisco—drawn by her curiosity and a deep desire to explore the world. A young creative at heart, she navigates life through art in all its forms: figure skating, dancing, painting, singing, writing, and of course—photography.
For her, photography, unlike the other forms of art, isn’t about creating something new. It’s about recognizing what already exists—pausing long enough to see it—and making it last forever.
In her early days behind the lens, Key leaned toward structure and, staging images with intention. As her life evolved, shaped by the rhythm of moving between cities, so did her artistic philosophy. Letting go of rigid plans, she embraced a life rooted in openness and spontaneity. She learned to surf uncertainty and welcome the unexpected, often saying that for those willing to pay that price of uncertainty, life unfolds with the most beautiful surprises.
That shift transformed her creative process. Her photography is no longer about orchestrating scenes or chasing perfect locations, but about recognizing the quiet beauty of the unknown in the everyday. Her work is an invitation to pause, to truly see, and to make fleeting moments last forever.
"Art has always been a part of me—it’s how my soul feels most alive. It’s how I return to who I really am."
